Principal Technical Analyst
Exeter Government Services seeks a seasoned Information Technology (IT) professional with recent/current experience in support federal government Enterprise Architecture and technology initiatives. The candidate will be part of a team and will report to the Exeter Project Manager/Chief Architect.
The successful candidate will assist the Project Team in documenting the roles (both International Standards Organization (ISO) and non-ISO)), critical components and activities related to the creation, ongoing maintenance and support of two Information System infrastructures: Production and Development-Preproduction/COOP. The criteria described will include hardware and software architecture proposals which include critical consideration given to secure remote access of services and applications, future scalability, system availability, reliability, and supportability, and role definition of those who will support the initiative.
Further, the successful candidate will be responsible, along with the Project Team, for documenting and recommending hardware and software architectures and associated standards and practices by the following lifecycle phases: Development, Configuration, Test, Training, Preproduction / COOP and finally Production. The effort also will address the secure access and authentication methods to be used and will strive to define processes and procedures that will ensure that these environments can be certified and accredited.
All work shall follow commonly accepted Information Technology (IT) best practices and procedures, the majority of which are found in the ISO 20000-1:2005 and the ISO 20000-2:2005 standards, Information Technology - Service Management- Part 1: Specification, and Part 2: Code of Practice. Additional guidelines and recommendations are related to those best practices and procedures found within the Six Sigma quality system and the Control Objectives other commonly accepted IT quality systems; such as, the Control Objectives for Information and related Technology (COBIT) created by the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) and the IT Governance Institute (ITGI). Further guidance has been provided by the Federal Enterprise Architecture Consolidated Reference Model v2.0 FEA_CRM and the Federal Transition Framework Initiative FTF.
Qualifications:

The candidate must be able to obtain a security clearance.
- The candidate must have verifiable references.BS degree in IT, Business, or related field. (Advance degree desired)
- 8+ years in IT with a track record of progressive responsibility

- Expertise in multiple architecture platforms and their related constraints and how these issues affect the development of an enterprise architecture
- Experience with strategic planning, change management, risk management, line of business modernization, governance, CPIC, portfolio management, and knowledge management
- Experience with CMMI and/or ISO certification
- Varied technology expertise
- Expertise in server-side technologies, database integration issues, and content management including requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Knowledge regarding vendor products and their suitability for a particular architecture (trade study analyses)
- Well honed problem solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel
